Lounges Day of Action - March 1st

Lounges Day of Action - March 1st

Sensible Ontario has gotten off to a great start, but we need your help to take action!

Time is ticking until the Attorney General's March 5th consultation on lounges is due, this is the very last week that you can have your say on proposed places of use in Ontario.  As such, we're holding a Day of Action for Lounges on March 1st. Several lounges across Ontario are taking action, find out what you can do locally to have your say by March 5th!

Hotbox Cafe, Kensington Market

Hotbox has been leading the charge for including lounges in Canada, as one of the oldest cannabis lounges in North America.  Come fill out the government consultation any day of the week before March 5th either in person or online to have your say!

Higher Limits, Windsor

Higher Limits is North America's biggest lounge, located right on the border of Detroit. Despite Michigan being one of the biggest medical cannabis states in the USA, tourists are flocking over to Windsor to experience Canadian cannabis culture. You can fill out the Higher Limits consultation online or come into the lounge in person to fill it out on their computer. Higher Limits will be giving away free bong rentals for those who fill out the survey, so it's worth it to make the trip!

Coffee Pot Lounge, Windsor

Be sure to stop by the Coffee Pot Lounge too in order to experience the best of emerging Windsor lounge culture! The Coffee Pot Lounge is a full service restaurant and specialty cafe, approved by the Windsor Board of Health. Come on in March 1st for Taco Thursdays ($2.50 tacos each with .50 cent sides including house taco sauces), to fill out the consultation. Plus free cover for whoever fills out a survey!

Natural Budz, Pickering

Natural Budz is one of the newest lounges on the scene but is already making waves! Come on down to Natural Budz open house on March 1st between 4-6pm for free entry in exchange for filling out the consultation.  Local police and politicians have been invited to see what a lounge looks like in action!

Planet Paradise, East Toronto

Planet Paradise has some treats in store on this Day of Action for anyone interested in filling out the consultation. Come check out the Canna Market, grab some goodies and a printed copy of the government consultation. Planet love lounges so much they'll deliver it for you by Monday!

I think these lounges would help make the use of cannibis more socially accepted as people like myself often have to hide like it is shameful to use medicine. No one hides the use of any other therapy but in order to be a credible human in this society I must do what is accepted; using cannibis medicinally is still regarded as a gate way drug or those associated are dealers, addicts, criminals.

It would be nice to go out, be around like people and be subjected to those who are kind to my life choice. It is finally recognized as theraputic why should I still need to hide away? Lounges would make way for people to see this plant, this lifestyle in a new light. Times are changing and with it our views should too.
